The Final Stretch

NQ Ocean Paddle Series is ending 2015 with something a little exciting! Survival of Saunders takes competitors on an challenging journey to Saunders Beach – North Townsville. Both experienced and less experienced paddlers are able to take on our new course and finally, over a rough battling months, come celebrate another successful year of NQ Ocean Paddle Series!

Long Course

It is now time for the hardcore to test themselves. After several months of challenging courses, unexpected weather conditions and battling of the long open ocean waters, the time has arrived to see whether these past months were worth the sweat and tears. This astonishing 25.8km course will set competitors off from Pallarenda Beach, out towards bay rock and back inland finishing at Saunders Beach.

Briefing: 11:30AM

Race Start Time: 12:00PM

Start Location: Pallarenda Beach, Freemason’s Park

Finish Location: Saunders Beach Park Located at the End of Reef st (Turn left onto Reef st from Saunders Beach Rd)

Short Course

Another easy one just to give the socializers and less experienced a chance to get into the water! We still ain’t going a little too easy on these guys since they too have built up confidence and paddling experience over the last few months! So go ahead, end your Paddle Series with a great accomplishment and try out our 12km or 6km Short course depending on your craft type!

Length: Kayaker’s 12km (4Laps), SUPs 6km (2Laps) (Buoys 1.5km distance apart)

Briefing: 12:30PM

Race Start Time: 1:00PM

Start Location: Saunders Beach Park Located at the End of Reef st (Turn left onto Reef st from Saunders Beach Rd)

Finish Location: Same as Start Location
